Food Access Program

Everyone should get to eat and enjoy delicious food. One of our top priorities is to make fresh, local foods accessible to everyone, regardless of income. We work to make sure you can use food assistance benefits at Everett Farmers Market.

EBT/SNAP – Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is easy to use your Electronic Transfer Benefits (EBT) card to buy fresh, healthy produce and other foods at the Everett Farmers Markets.

To use your benefits at the Everett Farmers Market, simply go to the Market HQ booth, tell the staff how much money you would like to spend, and they will swipe your EBT card for the amount you request.

You will then be given wooden tokens for the amount to buy fresh produce and other foods at the Market. You must use your tokens at the Everett Farmers Market. Hundreds of SNAP/EBT users around Snohomish County use their benefits at a Farmers Market each week to buy fresh fruits and vegetables.

Note that you cannot use your EBT Vouchers to buy flowers or other non-food items or ready-to-eat/take-out food. [For information on applying for EBT benefits call 1.877.501.2233 or click here for a link to information.]

If your total is less than your token’s value, you can add a small item to your purchase, or more pay the difference in cash. THERE IS NO CASH/CHANGE GIVEN BACK FOR EBT PURCHASES
